Artisys is re-engineering existing AS400 data staging processes under AIX. The staging process leads to a data warehouse of customer billing information and cellular usage trends. Artisys is also developing canned queries and reports that will be used regionally by Marketing Analysts. This re-engineering effort enables the Marketing Analyst to run these canned queries 1 day after a billing cycle versus the previous 15-day period before data was available.
Artisys designed and developed the database structure using Sybase RDBMS. We have also developed the front-end (client) using Powerbuilder. This system was developed to replace a Wang legacy system for which Artisys staff also provided support. This system fed an Order Processing System which our staff developed using the OS/2 Presentation Manager platform using C++. In addition to development efforts on this system, Artisys has also provided PC and LAN support. |
